Org Chart Maker Mac is a powerful visualization tool for creating printable Organization Charts on your Mac. With this App you can quickly create Org Charts and use them instantly in your other projects. The Ability to render fullscreen charts allows you to turn your Mac or Macbook into a powerful visualization tool. You can create an Org Chart and copy or share it instantly by email giving you the flexibility to move it from your Mac to your PC or to other Mac Apps including Pages, Numbers & Keynote.
The in-built color picker gives you the flexibility to define the look and feel of your charts. This App is ideal for Personal use, School, Business, Presentation and other areas where data visualization is key.
Org Chart Maker is very easy to use, it utilizes the Parent->Child relationships to construct an organization chart within the shortest time possible(No Drawing Hassles, Org Chart Maker Automatically draws it for you). Simply enter an item and select the Parent and Org Chart Maker will Complete the Join.

Creating an Org Chart
To create an Org Chart, Type your Members starting in Row 1 Down in any Order OR You can easily populate the grid by importing a CSV list of all your Members. Click ‘Import’ button on toolbar to download a template. When importing a new list, leave the “PARENT” column in the CSV blank.
Once you have the grid populated with all your members, go back to row #1 and Click the PLUS (+) button in each row to start relating/linking your Members by choosing a Parent, Node position & Line Style. You can also link them as you enter them from row #1 down.

Selecting Parents
To select a ‘PARENT’ for an element, click on the ‘PLUS(+)’ button in each row to launch the parent select popover. To choose a parent, click on the desired name from the list. You can also choose the desired node position from this modal. You can position the node on the left, right or bottom of the parent that you select. Please note that you can ONLY type on the yellow cells, All white (Parent) cells can only be filled with the ‘+’ button. Once the parent is selected, the change is reflected instantly on the Chart.

Setting Join Style
A join style between the parent & child node can be depicted by a Solid or a Dotted line. To set a join style for a given node, click on the “SELECT” button next to the item that you wish to modify and click on the Solid or Dotted line options.
Org Node Positioning
To position your Org Chart Nodes, Click on the ‘SELECT’ button and click on the desired position from the popover. You can position nodes ‘LEFT’, ‘RIGHT’ & ‘BOTTOM’ of the selected Parent item.

Creating line breaks on titles
To create a line break, simply type the opening parenthesis sign ‘(‘ where you wish to break the line. All text after the opening parenthesis ‘(‘ will be pushed to the next line. If the text gets hidden, consider changing the font or node size.
Formatting Nodes
Customizing your Chart
To customize your chart, Use the node options available in the toolbar. You can customize font, node size, corner radius, shape, shadow, line, text & Background color. To customize individual node back colors, click on the color swatches in each row when using the multi-color mode. If using Single Color Mode, use row #1 color picker to customize node colors.
Customizing Colors
By default the multi-Color mode is selected. This means each node background color can be independently customized. To Customize, simply click on the color swatch in each row. To use a single color for all your nodes, simply change the mode from multi-color to single color on the toolbar and use row #1 color picker to customize color. To revert back, simply toggle between the two options. To customize the node text color, line, background & Chart Title colors, use the color swatches on the right side of the toolbar.
Exporting Charts
PDF & PNG Exports
To Export your Chart in PDF or PNG format, or to export your chart data in CSV format , Click on the (PDF)- Export icon in the toolbar. Please note that the zooming level that you set will affect the Size and Quality of Chart exported or shared. We recommend adjusting this accordingly before attempting to Share or Export your Chart.
Copy Paste in other Apps
Moving Charts to other apps
Use Edit > Copy Chart in the top menu to move your Chart to the clipboard. The above screen is an example of a copy & paste in Pages App. You can copy and paste Org Charts in Pages, Keynote, Numbers & in other Mac applications. You can also use the Export Options to generate a PNG image or PDF document that you easily open from other apps.

Emailing Org Charts
To Email or Share your Organization Chart, click on the ‘Share’ button on the toolbar or Click on the File > Share option from the top menu. Select the desired format from the Share popover. This can be either PDF or PNG format. Please note that the Zooming level that you select will affect Size & Quality of the Chart.
Displaying hidden items
Resizing Chart Org Window
If your Organization Chart is too wide, or long, it may not display fully on the Org Chart Maker Window, to display hidden items, simply Zoom In and Out, Scroll Right, Left & Down or Resize your Window. If using an iMac simply drag the window edges to expose the hidden items. You can also click on the ‘Full Screen Zoom’ button to utilize your entire screen.
Importing CSV data
Import CSV data
To to load your CSV file, Click on the “Import” button. It’s recommended you use the provided template to ensure the data imports correctly. Using incorrectly formatted data will make your import to Fail. After import, use the “SELECT” button to create relationships between the elements.
When importing data for first time, leave the “PARENT” column blank. The PARENT column is auto populated by the app and is used when importing data exported from another Org Chart Maker App. Filling this Column manually may make your import to fail.
